While recovering from a recent injury, Simon Falette is reportedly attempting to force leave Hannover for a Turkish club rather than remain in a reserve role. The defender did not appear in the squad for Hannover’s 1-0 loss at Karlsruher.

Ken Reichel suffered muscular problems which caused him to miss Osnabruck’s 1-0 loss to Greuther Furth. Striker Luc Ihorst will miss the match as he serves the second of his two-game suspension.

MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

After travelling to two away matches, Hannover will be happy to be at home to host Osnabruck. Kenan Kocak’s squad will especially relish the chance to wash away the result from their Wednesday visit to Karlsruher, a 1-0 loss in which the only goal was a Kingsley Schindler own-goal. Hannover had the better chances from the match overall, but could not convert, ending the club’s three-game unbeaten streak away from home.

Osnabruck’s home losing streak grew to six after 1-0 loss to Greuther Furth. In contrast to the recent misery at home, Osnabruck has been relatively successful on the road, having taken 15 points from their first nine away games of the season and recently winning at Holstein Kiel. The club’s strong start to the season has kept them from dropping completely down the table during their recent struggles, but the Marco Grote’s squad is without a single goal from their last three games and now within reach of the clubs stuck in the relegation battle.

Though Hannover lost the last time they played at home, they’ve allowed just seven goals in their eight home matches this season. Osnabruck has been better on the road than at home this season, but in their last away match of the league, conceded five goals and scored none. Look for Hannover to use this game to work out some recent frustrations.

HEAD TO HEAD

They have three 2. Bundesliga meetings in recent years. Osnabruck beat Hannover 2-1 at home in September, while Hannover won 4-2 at Osnabruck earlier. They had a draw in the other league match.
