MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Very little went Aue’s way last Saturday as the club lost 2-0 in Heidenheim. Dirk Schuster’s club fell behind 1-0 in just the third minute, and then had to play with just ten men for nearly an hour after defender Steve Breitkruz was cautioned twice in a span of three minutes. Despite the disadvantage, Aue kept it 1-0 until injury time after the 90th minute. The loss continued Aue’s woes away from home, where the club has delivered just two goals from their last five games. They can now look forward to a Friday night match at home, where they’ve taken ten points from their last five games.

Defender Armel Bella-Kotchap got his goal to stake Bochum to an early lead against Braunschweig on their way to a 2-0 win. The visitors had a chance to equalize from the penalty spot in the 25th minute, but Manuel Riemann maintained his clean sheet with a save. The club pulled level on points with first-place Hamburg with the win, but remain second in the table on goal-differential.

Bochum are unbeaten in their last four away games in the league and have seven wins from their last nine league matches. Aue is definitely tougher at home than they are on the road, but Bochum is simply playing as well as anyone right now. Look for an away win here.

HEAD TO HEAD

Bochum has won their last three meetings with Aue and five of the last six. Back in October, the last time they played, it was a 2-0 win in Bochum for the home team.
