MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Braunschweig has lost three league matches in a row for the first time this season, following their 2-0 defeat at Bochum. After conceding the 1-0 in the eighth minute of play, Daniel Meyer’s squad had a huge opportunity to level things from the penalty spot in the 25th minute, but Dong-won Ji’s attempt was saved. Braunschweig has allowed seven goals and scored just two during their current losing streak.

Jahn Regensburg has drawn three consecutive league matches following their 1-1 draw with Dusseldorf. David Otto’s goal gave the hosts a lead they were able to carry to halftime, but couldn’t prevent the equalizer early in the second half. Mersad Selimbegovic’s side has not allowed a goal in their last two away games of the league and are unbeaten in their last four league games overall.

Jahn Regensburg continues to ride solid defending to mid-table success, despite a relative lack of scoring punch. Braunschweig has scored the fewest goals in the league to date and have conceded more goals than all but one other club. Take the visitors here.

HEAD TO HEAD

In the five meetings between these clubs in 2. Bundesliga play, the home team has won four times, including Jahn Regensburg’s 3-0 victory last October.
