MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Wurzburger Kickers were unable to build on the momentum of beating Hamburg, losing 3-0 at Bochum last weekend. Bernhard Trares’ side was outmatched from the start, with their hosts striving to ascend to the top of the league table with a win. The Kickers had their chances, but were unable to convert and were eventually undone by their own sloppy play in possession. Wurzburger Kickers have been outscored 10-4 in their last four games, just one win and three losses.

Heidenheim beat Dusseldorf to give them ten points from their last four league games. The recent run has lifted Frank Schmidt’s club to sixth in the league table, their highest position in recent months. Striker Tim Kleindienst continued his torrid goal-scoring streak, delivering goals six and seven for Heidenheim since returning to the club at the end of January, scoring in each of his five games.

Nobody should take a visit to Wurzburger Kickers for granted after they’ve beaten Dusseldorf and Hamburg in their last two at home. Heidenheim, however, look like they found what they needed with the re-acquisition of Kleindienst and will continue their streak in this one.

HEAD TO HEAD

Heidenheim beat Wurzburger Kickers 4-1 when they last met in November. Heidenheim has won two consecutive 2. Bundesliga meetings with Wurzburger Kickers.
