You usually think of FC Tokyo as having a very stable defence, but against Cerezo Osaka that wasn’t really the case. The team as a whole isn’t defending at the same levels as last season yet.

 

Having only Japanese players in the backline should help smooth communication though, and Masato Morishige has the experience and communication skills to bring them together. Ryoya Ogawa and Tsuyoshi Watanabe are very good players, but they still need to work on a few specifics.

 

The foreign players in attack aren’t quite clicking either, and the team is still to hit its best rhythm. I think they will improve once the likes of Diego Oliveira De Queiroz find form.

 

I played alongside Vissel Kobe manager Atsuhiro Miura, and he’s not the type to play for a draw. FC Tokyo are a good team, but he’ll try to nullify them and then play to Vissel Kobe’s strengths to get a win.

 

Kyogo Furuhashi will be key going forward, although recently he has been missing the easy chances and scoring the difficult ones! Hotaru Yamaguchi isn’t getting involved in games like he usually does either, and is making simple errors.

 

Vissel Kobe are an inconsistent team and their defence is far from solid, while FC Tokyo have shown in their last two games that they won’t be beaten easily.

 

FC Tokyo are unlikely to make the same mistakes as the last game, and with that in mind I think they’ll claim a narrow win here.
