Prediction: Sagan Tosu to keep going with win over Cerezo Osaka

 

Cerezo Osaka are second top scorers behind Kawasaki Frontale so far with 13 goals, and I think the return of Yoshito Okubo has been central to that.

 

They play two up front, a style he really suits, and the fact that Hiroshi Kiyotake has also been in such good form has been vital.

 

In this game they will have to pay very close attention to Sagan Tosu’s build up, and make sure they stay on their toes as Sagan Tosu are capable of playing in different systems.

 

Going forward, if Cerezo Osaka want to become the first team to score against Sagan Tosu this season they need to combine well and move the ball at speed to try and break through.

 

As a former centre-back I can really appreciate how amazing it is that Sagan Tosu haven’t conceded yet.

 

It isn’t only the goalkeeper or defenders, but every player – including those on the bench – fully understands what they should be doing as a team and they work so hard together to put that into action.

 

Sagan Tosu have looked good when attacking as well, and both Keita Yamashita and Daiichi Hayashi up front are in form and confident – especially the latter, who scored for Japan U24 against Argentina on Monday. Behind them Keiya Sento is one to watch as well.

 

With that in mind, I think Sagan Tosu will keep up their strong start to the season with another win here.
