Two teams in desperate need of a win square off on Friday night, and although it may be a cliche, I really think this one will come down to who wants it more.

 

FC Seoul have finally stopped their five-game losing run after drawing 1-1 with Suwon FC. I understand the players might still be low on confidence though, and that’s why leaders like Ki Sung Yueng need to take control of games. Without any true strikers in the line-up, he may also have to weigh in with goals as well.

 

At the other end of the pitch, FC Seoul once again conceded from a set-piece against Suwon FC. For me, the marking continues to be the problem as they have been losing second balls and allowing opponents to get too many shots in the box. Centre-backs like Hwang Hyun Soo have to remain more focused.

 

Luckily for the FC Seoul defence, they’re going up against a Seongnam FC side that have lost three in a row and continue to struggle when it comes to creating goal-scoring opportunities. This is where I think Romanian striker Sergiu Bus could shine if given his second start of the season.

 

Regardless of what happens in attack, I expect veteran Kim Young Kwang to keep his side in the match. He’s having another strong season in goal after something of a resurgence in 2020 and can be relied on to make big saves when called upon.

 

With two strong goalkeepers and both attacks struggling at the moment, I think this one will end in a low-scoring draw.
