MAIN PREDICTION: HANDICAP HAD AWAY WIN

 

Real Salt Lake opened their season with a mild upset by edging Minnesota Utd 2-1 away last weekend. Anderson Julio, who's loan from Liga MX side San Luis earned, man of the match honours by scoring both Real Salt Lake goals. He opened the scoring in the 31st minute then doubled the lead 10 minutes later. Goalkeeper David Ochoa lost his bid for a clean sheet when Minnesota Utd beat him in the 86th minute.

Sporting Kansas City had to settle for a 1-1 home draw with Orlando City last weekend to remain unbeaten early in 2021 with a win and draw. Gianluca Busio gave the home side the lead just before the half time whistle but Orlando City grabbed a point via a 79th-minute equalizer.

Sporting Kansas City was the second-best away side in the league in 2020 but this is Real Salt Lake's home-opener, so I'll be going with a draw. Going with Sporting Kansas City on the handicap market makes sense here.
