MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

 

Arguably the game of round 28 is this one between Valerenga and Rosenborg. The hosts are unbeaten at home this season; while Rosenborg have an excellent record against Valerenga in Oslo (see head to head record). Valerenga have drawn their last three league matches 1-1, but there has been a lack of goals in each of their last six league matches, just two total goals in each.

Rosenborg’s woes continued when they went down 5-1 to the newly crowned league champions Bodo Glimt last weekend. Norway’s most successful club had no answer to the attacking power of the hosts and in the end were lucky it wasn’t far worse. As a result, they have lost three league games in succession. The Trondheim club have also conceded a massive eight times – scoring just one – in their last two away matches.

Rosenborg should be able to end their recent poor form, and while it won’t be easy for the visitors, I do believe they can keep up their good form in the capital. I will predict an away win.
