MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

The postponement of Bournemouth’s game against Millwall meant that a comfortable 2-0 away win against a struggling QPR side moved Swansea up into the automatic promotion places on Boxing Day. The Welsh side have won back-to-back league games and have suffered defeat in just one of their last six.

Reading got off to a perfect start against an inconsistent Luton side at the weekend as first-half goals from defender Tom McIntyre and versatile midfielder Alfa Semedo set the Berkshire club on course for a 2-1 home victory. The result ended a run of back-to-back league defeats and moves Veljko Paunovic’s side back into the top six ahead of the trip to South Wales.

Reading improved at the weekend but could struggle here against much stronger opposition here.

HEAD TO HEAD

Swansea are unbeaten in last five league and cup games against Reading with four wins.
